Forgetting what is behind

Speaking of FORGETTING...i totally forgot about my blog site until i remembered (which means i forgot about this too) my sisters blog site. So i thought since i remembered mine, i would write a little something.

When i was a kid, i got in trouble for forgetting stuff..forgetting to clean my room or do my chores or whatever...It is so easy to FORGET things in life, isn't it? So then why is it so hard to forget our mistakes and sins that we commit so often? In Philippians 3 it says," No, dear brothers ans sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven."

One thing that stuck out to me here..."but i am focusing ALL MY ENERGIES on this ONE thing..." Why does it take ALL our energy to move on, to go forward with our lives? Maybe he was saying that because it is just REALLY important that we don't let the things in the past dictate where we go in the future. That we don't get so distracted with our faults and mistakes that we FORGET who we are in Christ, because of His blood shed for us.

It's just cool. Our God is cool. So for once in my life, i'm just going to be like a kid, which God thinks is good, not get in trouble for it and FORGET!!!
